ITLA (Izu Travel and Living Arts, Co.) is a small local guiding company based in
Matsuzaki, Izu, offering slow private journeys through the nature, culture, and
history of the Izu Peninsula.
Alongside our tours, we keep a journal—collecting stories of people, places,
and ways of life shaped over time by the land.
Our everyday lives take shape in many ways. By the landscapes, climate, and
cultures of the places we live. No two are ever the same. Each can be art.
There is no need a special stage or gallery space.
They seem to exist—in everyday lives, in every moment.
We share stories that emerge where nature and people exist close together.
Coming Soon.
The origins of ITLA’s concept lie in Hawai‘i.
The founder spent over a decade running a travel agency there,
guiding visitors to local cultural sites and geo-sites.
Through this experience, she was drawn to the richness of local
communities and regional economies, and has since focused on
sharing the beauty of ways of living rooted in place.
Now, guided to the Izu Peninsula, ITLA introduces the natural
landscape and culture (the ways of living) that exist within it as a
travel experience.
Closer to the land, closer to the way of living.
